Slowly but surely!

Just a heads up that we got our I-171H last night!  WAHOO!!  This is one of the two remaining items we had to have to submit our dossier.  So now, we're only waiting on our Psych Evals.

For those of you who don't speak the lingo, that basically means that we have been approved by the US to process an adoption abroad.  Once we officially adopt Catrina in Haiti, we'll have to apply again to the US to specifically bring her to the US.

This is great news and one more step in the right direction!  Praise God!!!

Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

A work in progress...

I have been working on the transformation of Catrina's room since late December (slowly, so keep your expectations low). Some of you have been interested to see photos, so here ya go!

One of my favorite creations yet:
This is a whiteboard/photo holder that I made this out of cheapo photo frames, pretty paper, and some heavy duty glue.  Glued on the spirally paper clips to hold photos in place and threw on some funky flowers for fun.  I am really please with how well this turned out.  :-)

Baby Steps

So, again, I haven't really posted lately because we haven't had an awful lot going on.  We've recently been in one of those hurry up and wait phases.  However, last week, we finally got to do...something!  Last we knew, we are only missing our psych evals and our I-600A approval (approval from the US to adopt).  We submitted our I-600A to the US and had to wait on the only psychiatrist we know to be able to work us in.  Last Tuesday, I finally managed to have my psych eval and on Thursday we had our biometrics done for the FBI.  Next, Eddie's psych eval is this Thursday morning and we're waiting to hear back from the US.  Please be in prayer that these will go smoothly and quickly.

We have some friends who are going to pick up their little girl from Haiti in early April.  It's always a blessing to see other adoptions finalizing from Haiti!  Praise God for this sweet child and her new family!  They are dear people!
